No. 16 Women's Wrestling Defeats Graceland on the Road

Lamoni, Iowa, (Nov. 13, 2025)- The No. 16 Missouri Valley College women's wrestling team traveled to Lamoni, Iowa, for a Heart of America Athletic Conference dual against Graceland (Iowa), Thursday evening.  The Vikings came away with their second dual victory of the week, defeating the Yellowjackets, 39-4.

103 pounds: Sophomore Ilsen Ventura (Fate, Texas) won by forfeit.  Missouri Valley leads, 5-0.

110 pounds: Freshman Janessa Avila (St. Clair, Mo.) won by forfeit.  Missouri Valley leads, 10-0.

117 pounds: No. 16 Sophomore Ashtyn Sagely (Broken Arrow, Okla.) defeated Amaris Rivera by a 11-1 technical fall.  Missouri Valley leads, 14-0.

124 pounds: Sophomore Jaylenn Hudlemeyer (Excelsior Springs, Mo.) won by forfeit. Missouri Valley leads, 19-0.

131 pounds: Both teams left the weight class open.

138 pounds: No. 4 Junior Serenity De La Garza (McAllen, Texas) won by forfeit. Missouri Valley leads, 24-0.

145 pounds: Junior Eternity De La Garza (McAllen, Texas) defeated Virginia Myers in a first period (1:11) pin.  Missouri Valley leads, 29-0.

160 pounds: Freshman Mya Willis (Wildwood, Mo.) lost to Yanni Sanchez in a 16-6 technical fall.  Missouri Valley leads, 29-4.

180 pounds: Sophomore Audree Willess (Rockwell, Texas) won by forfeit. Missouri Valley leads, 34-4.

207 pounds: Freshman Alissa Castro (Prairie Grove, Ark.) won by forfeit.

Missouri Valley won, 39-4.

117 pounds: Sophomore Jaylenn Hudlemeyer (Excelsior Springs, Mo.)  defeated Amaris Rivera in a 19-6 technical fall.

145 pounds: Junior Eternity De La Garza (McAllen, Texas) lost to Yanni Sanchez in a second period (5:48) pin.

The Vikings improve to 2-0 on the season in duals, while Graceland drops to 0-1.

Up next, the Viking women's wrestling team will host the MVC Open, Nov. 21-22 inside the Burns Athletic Complex.  This is the largest collegiate women's wrestling tournament in the country featuring programs across all collegiate divisions.
