"The team performed very well this weekend and everyone wrestled above their ranking," said Head Coach Kevin Corbett.  "Everyone stepped up and wrestled their best this weekend, and we are looking forward to building on this and working towards next year.  I am extremely proud of everyone, and the team, and all they accomplished.  We're young, and more hungry to be successful and be ready for hunting down the title.  The staff did a great job leading the team this weekend. Kassidy, Julia, Beau and Aaron all stepped up and did a great job making sure everyone was ready and focused to perform.  The men's and women's programs worked extremely well in unison to help us reach this success.  It was a great job they did as coaches."

Both Mota-Pettis and Corbett were the first National finalists for the program under the NAIA, and the program's first National finalists since Jacarra Winchester won an individual National WCWA National -championship in 2015.  Additionally, Corbett finishes her career as a five-time All-American, two-time National finalist and the 2022 National champion.  De La Garza also became a two-time All-American.

Missouri Valley placed fifth overall in the team standings, with 101.5 points.  This is the highest team finish at the NAIA National championship, which was first established in 2019.  Life (Ga.) was first with 190.5 points, followed by Grand View (Iowa) with 120.5 points.  Cumberlands (Ky.) was third with 116.5 points and William Penn (Iowa) was fourth with 114 points.
