"First off, I am incredibly thankful and appreciative to the Missouri Valley College campus and Athletic Department for being so supportive and helpful in our hosting of the first event of its kind here," said Powerlifting Head Coach Danny Capps.   "I am extremely proud of our student-athletes and what they accomplished here today. We have several freshmen and transfers who really just needed meet experience, and to have that situation going into this, then coming out with the women's championship, eight total qualifiers for Collegiate Nationals, set 18 Missouri State Records,  winning three-fourths of the possible Best Lifter awards, several taking home medals that were honestly unexpected, and more individual PR's than I even want to try to count, I would say that's about as good of a day as we could have in September."

The Vikings have now qualified the following for USA Powerlifting Collegiate Nationals held in Oklahoma City, OK for 2025: Azlyn Schwarzer, Audrey Schoch, Lauren Bates, Sarah Khamis, Diego Mercado, Caiden Sanford, Corey Morabito and Gabriel Pineda.

Up next, the powerlifting teams will compete at the USA Powerlifting William Jewell Collegiate Invitational, Nov. 10-11.
