Track and Field Teams Compete at Bearcat Invite
Maryville, Mo. (Feb. 7, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Maryville, Mo., to compete at the Bearcat Invite, Friday and Saturday. The men's team was led by Xavier Adams, who placed No. 13 in the triple jump with a distance of 13.35 meters. Leading the women's team was Freshman Johanna Watkins, who placed No. 14 in the high jump with a height of 1.48 meters.
Men's Results:
Xavier Adams: placed No. 13 in the triple jump with a distance of 13.35 meters.
Freshman Luke Mosley (Jefferson City, Mo.): placed 18th in the pole vault with a height of 3.93 meters.
Freshman Adrian Miles, Jr. (Biloxi, Miss.): placed 28th in the shot put with a distance of 13.65 meters.
Freshman Hudson Drydale (Blue Springs, Mo.): placed 29th in the long jump with a distance of 6.23 meters.
Junior Daytona Blaine (Shelbina, Mo.): placed No. 31 in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:39.40.
Junior Terrill Davis (Lamar, Mo.): placed 39th in the long jump with a distance of 5.69 meters.
Freshman Daniel Menefee (Ellisville, Mo.): placed No. 40 in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:42.84.
Freshman Grant Supinski (Kenwood, Ohio): placed 48th in the shot put with a distance of 10.91 meters.
Sophomore Steven Mills (Kansas City, Mo.): placed No. 51 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.68. He also finished with a time of 7.17 in the 60 meter dash prelims, but did not qualify for the finals.
Sophomore Montique Griffiths (Maypen, Jamaica): finished with a time of 8.46 in the 60 meter hurdles prelims, but did not qualify for the event final.
Sophomore Joseph James (Excelsior Springs, Mo.): finished with a time of 8.85 in the 60 meter hurdles prelims, but did not qualify for the event final.
Women's Results:
Freshman Johanna Watkins (Wentzville, Mo.): placed No. 14 in the high jump with a height of 1.48 meters. She also finished 21st in the triple jump with a distance of 10.11 meters, and placed No. 33 in the long jump with a distance of 4.59 meters.
Freshman Nyla Adams (St. Louis, Mo.): placed No. 18 in the triple jump with a distance of 10.41 meters. She also finished 25th in the long jump with a distance of 4.88 meters.
Freshman Eniola Candice Alabi (Austin, Texas): placed No. 22 in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.79. She also finished with a time of 8.15 in the 60 meter dash prelims, but did not qualify for the event final.
Senior Kali Brown (Smithville, Mo.): placed No. 23 in the weight throw with a distance of 13.86 meters.
Senior Federica Gammarota (Foggia, Italy): placed No. 42 in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.60. She also finished with a time of 10.36 in the 60 meter hurdles prelims, but did not qualify for the event final.
Up next, the Viking track and field teams will compete at the Heart of America Indoor Championships in Maryville, Mo., Feb. 20-21.
