Women's Golf Competes at Heart Championship, Produces All-Conference Honoree
Smithville, Mo., (May 5, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College women's golf team competed at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship at Paradise Point in Smithville, Mo., producing one top ten individual.
Leading the team was Junior Hanna Rieker (Munich, Germany) who finished with a three-round score of +21 (237) to place seventh overall. Rieker opened the tournament with a +7 (79) in the first round, which included two birdies, followed by a +6 (78) in the second round. In the third round, Rieker recorded two birdies for a +8 (80).
Two more golfers played all three rounds of the tournament. Sophomore Sydney Righter (Camdenton, Mo.) followed at No. 22 overall with a final score of +44 (260). Righter recorded two birdies in the first round, and two birdies in the third round. Senior Kali Brown (Smithville, Mo.) finished with a +50 (266) to place at No. 27.
Sophomore Victoria Menard Varela (Coruna, Spain) played in the first two rounds, and finished with a score of +37 (181), which included one birdie in each round. Junior Jalynn Allen (Lebanon, Mo.) played in the first and third rounds, and totaled a +45 (189), adding one birdie in the third round. Senior Madison Mills (Willard, Mo.) played in both the second and third rounds, and finished at +48 (192), recording one birdie in the second round.
As a team, Missouri Valley placed sixth in the final standings with a total score of +169 (1033). Mount Mercy (Iowa) won the conference title with a total score of.
The 2026 Heart Women's Golf All-Conference Team was also announced following the tournament, and Junior Hanna Rieker (Munich, Germany) was recognized on the team. Rieker becomes a two-time Heart All-Conference selection.
