Women's Golf Competes at Mount Mercy Spring Invite
Cedar Rapids, Iowa, (April 14, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College women's golf team played at the Mount Mercy (Iowa) Spring Invitational at Brown Deer Golf Club in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, this week. The Vikings produced one top five individual in the tournament.
Leading the team was Junior Hanna Rieker (Munich, Germany), who finished with a two-round score of +12 (156) to place fourth overall, nine shots back of first place. Next on the team was Sophomore Sydney Righter (Camdenton, Mo.), who placed No. 37 overall with a final score of +43 (187). Sophomore Victoria Menard Varela (Coruna, Spain) came in at No. 40 with a +46 (190) and Senior Kali Brown (Smithville, Mo.) finished out the team scorers with a +50 (194) to place at No. 46. Senior Madison Mills (Willard, Mo.) totaled a +64 (208) to place at No. 51.
Two Vikings placed as individuals in the tournament. Junior Jalynn Allen (Lebanon, Mo.) shot a +55 (199) to place at No. 48 and Freshman Moriah Bolin (St. Louis, Mo.) came in at +82 (226) to place at No. 53.
As a team, the Vikings finished ninth with a final score of +151 (727). St. Catherine (Minn.) won the tournament with a +58 (634).
Up next, the Viking women's golf team will play at the home MVC Spring Invitational, April 20-21 at Indian Foothills Golf Course.
