Men's Wrestling Ranked No. 11, Eight Individuals Nationally Ranked in Coaches' Poll
Marshall, Mo., (Dec. 11, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College men's wrestling team remains Nationally ranked in the latest edition of the NAIA Men's Wrestling Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released Thursday. Eight individuals on the team are Nationally ranked in their respective weight classes.
The Vikings fell two spots from the previous rankings, and are No. 11 in this edition of the coaches' poll. During the latest rating period, the team competed at the St. Mary (Kan.) Spires Dual, and finished with a 3-0 record on the day, defeating Avila University (Mo.), Friends University (Kan.), and No. 18 Saint Mary (Kan.). The Vikings also competed at the UCM Kaufman Brand Brayly Open.
Missouri Valley is one of six teams from the Heart of America Athletic Conference ranked in the coaches' poll. Grand View (Iowa) remains No. 1, Central Methodist dropped to No. 14, Missouri Baptist is No. 19, affiliate member Dickinson State (N.D.) fell to No. 23, and Baker (Kan.) sits at No. 25. The Vikings go to Grand View for a dual, Jan. 15, travel to Missouri Baptist for a dual on Jan. 29, and host Central Methodist in a dual, Feb. 5.
A total of eight individuals from the team are ranked in their respective weight classes, led by No. 4 Senior Elijah Hynes (Broken Arrow, Okla.) at 197 pounds, No. 5 Junior Haden Hernandez (Huntington Beach, Calif.) at 133 pounds, and No. 5 Senior Francis Morrissey (Warner Robins, Ga.) at 174 pounds. The other five ranked individuals include:
No. 12 Junior Robert Albert (Cape Coral, Fla.) at 125 pounds.
No. 10 Freshman Aiden Serrano (Indianola, Iowa) at 133 pounds.
No. 18 Sophomore Brayden Shelton (Centralia, Mo.) at 157 pounds.
No. 11 Senior Dayton Hill (Broken Arrow, Okla.) at 165 pounds.
No. 17 Senior Randy Gonzalez (Lakewood, Colo.) at 285 pounds.
Up next, the Viking men's wrestling team will travel to Davenport, Iowa, to compete at the Heart of America Duals, Saturday, starting at 9 a.m.
