Powerlifting Teams Set Program History at William Jewell Invitational
Liberty, Mo., (Nov. 1, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College powerlifting team competed at the USA Powerlifting William Jewell (Mo.) Collegiate Invitational in Liberty, Mo., Saturday. The team earned several medals, set new personal records and earned team hardware making program-history.
The Vikings were team champions in both the Women's Equipped and Men's Raw divisions, and set a new school record today for National Qualifiers, where the previous mark of 16 student-athletes was set in 2021, sits for the 2025-26 school year at 21 now after 8 additional athletes made qualifying totals in their respective divisions and weight classes.
