Track & Field Competes at Wildcat Invite

Canton, Mo., (April 18, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College track and field teams competed at the Wildcat Invite in Canton, Mo., Saturday. The Vikings competed against programs from multiple collegiate divisions at the event, producing an individual champion and 23 total finishes in the top ten. 

 

Men's Results:

Sophomore Montique Griffiths (Maypen, Jamaica): placed second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.01.

Freshman Asah Bailey (Kingston, Jamaica): placed fourth in the 100 meter dash in a time of 10.90, and placed fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.17.

Freshman Daniel Menefee (Ellisville, Mo.): placed fourth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 16:36.12.

Freshman Luke Mosley (Jefferson City, Mo.): placed fifth in the pole vault with a jump of 3.90 meters.

Sophomore Steven Mills (Kansas City, Mo.): placed sixth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.27, and placed 13th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.52.

Freshman Hudson Drydale (Blue Springs, Mo.): placed seventh in the long jump with a distance of 6.54 meters.

Xavier Adams: placed eight in the triple jump with a distance of 13.16 meters, placed 15th in the long jump with a distance of 6.00 meters, and placed 26th in the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.33.

Junior Daytona Blaine (Shelbina, Mo.): placed eight in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:15.78, and placed eighth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:41.27.

Freshman Angel Campos (Los Fresnos, Texas): placed ninth in the 5000 meter run in a time of 17:50.81.

Junior Terrill Davis (Lamar, Mo.): placed tenth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.96 meters, and placed 12th in the long jump with a distance of 6.11 meters.

Sophomore Evans Kiptoo (Eldoret, Kenya): placed 11th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 18:31.00.

Freshman Bristol Sheetz (Winston, Mo.): placed 12th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 19:20.53.

Sophomore Harrison James (Kansas City, Mo.):  placed 13th in the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.11, and placed 18th in the 200 meter dash in a time of 22.74.

Freshman Gavin Beals (Centralia, Ill.): placed 14th in the shot put with a distance of 12.26 meters, and placed 32nd in the hammer throw with a distance of 24.73. 

Freshman Grant Supinski (Kenwood, Ohio): placed 17th in the hammer throw with a distance of 38.43 meters, placed 21st in the discus with a throw of 33.38 meters, and placed 30th in shot put with a throw of 10.85 meters.

Freshman Mason Anderson (Warsaw, Mo.): placed 36th in the 200 meter dash in a time of 24.15.

Freshman Misael Tellez (Laredo, Texas): placed 42nd in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.34 and placed 43rd in the 200 meter dash in a time of 25.10.

The 4x100 Relay Team 'B' (Drydale, Griffiths, Tellez, James) placed seventh with a time of 43.85.

 

Women's Results:

Senior Kali Brown (Smithville, Mo.): was the discus champion with a throw of 39.34 meters, and placed fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 43.46 meters.

Freshman Eniola Candice Alabi (Austin, Texas): placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.25, placed sixth in the 200 meter dash in a time of 25.90, and placed eight in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.47.

Freshman Nyla Adams (St. Louis, Mo.): placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 5.20 meters, placed ninth in the triple jump with a distance of 10.05 meters, and placed 12th in the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 1:19.85.

Freshman Johanna Watkins (Wentzville, Mo.): placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.47 meters. 

Senior Federica Gammarota (Foggia, Italy): placed seventh in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.64, and placed seventh in the 100 meter hurdles prelims in a time of 17.28.

Junior Jozelynn Bostick (Centralia, Mo.): placed eighth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 19:29.41.

Sophomore Jaedyn Smith (Taveres, Fla.):  placed ninth in the discus with a throw of 30.87 meters, and placed 19th in the shot put with a distance of 8.92 meters.

Next up, the Viking track and field teams will compete at the Drake Relays, set for April 23-25, in Des Moines, Iowa.
