Track & Field Teams Compete at CMU Invite

Fayette, Mo., (April 3, 2026)-  The Missouri Valley College track & field teams continued their outdoor seasons at the CMU Invite in Fayette, Mo., Thursday and Friday.  Junior Jozelynn Bostick (Centralia, Mo.) led by winning the women's 3000 meter steeplechase, and the Vikings produced a total of 11 top ten finishes.

 

Men's Results:

Sophomore Silas Morton (Strafford, Mo.): placed second in the javelin with a throw of 50.43 meters.

  

Freshman Luke Mosley (Jefferson City, Mo.): placed fifth in the pole vault with a jump of 4.05 meters.

 

Freshman Adrian Miles, Jr. (Biloxi, Miss.): placed eighth in the javelin with a throw of 40.07 meters, placed 16th in the discus with a distance of 38.26 meters, placed 33rd in the hammer throw with a distance of 27.18 meters.

 

Freshman Hudson Drydale (Blue Springs, Mo.): placed ninth in the long jump with a distance of 6.65 meters.

 

Sophomore Joseph James (Excelsior Springs, Mo.): placed 11th in the 110 meter hurdles prelims in a time of 15.46.

 

Xavier Adams: placed 12th in the triple jump with a distance of 13.65 meters, and placed 20th in the long jump with a distance of 6.14 meters.

 

Freshman Jacob Wade (Jefferson City, Mo.): placed 13th in the javelin with a throw of 36.24 meters and placed 29th in the shot put with a distance of 10.59 meters.

 

Gavin Beals: placed 17th in the shot put with a distance of 12.74 meters and placed 31st in the hammer throw with a distance of 28.76 meters.

 

Freshman Angel Campos (Los Fresnos, Texas): placed 17th in the 5000 meter run in a time of 18:34.98, and placed 49th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:52.19.

 

Freshman Grant Supinski (Kenwood, Ohio): placed 18th in the javelin with a throw of 17.49 meters, placed 18th in the discus with a distance of 36.85 meters, placed 19th in the hammer throw with a distance of 40.75 meters and placed 20th in the shot put with a distance of 12.19 meters.

 

Junior Terrill Davis (Lamar, Mo.): placed 18th in the triple jump with a distance of 12.77 meters, and placed 26th in the long jump with a distance of 5.96 meters.


Senior Daytona Blaine (Shelbina, Mo.): placed 22nd in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:19.73, and placed 28th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:02.90.

 

Freshman Asah Bailey (Kingston, Jamaica): placed 25th in the 200 meter dash in a time of 22.25, and placed 29th in the 100 meter dash prelims in a time of 11.04.

 

Sophomore Steven Mills (Kansas City, Mo.): placed 29th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.60.

 

Freshman Daniel Menefee (Ellisville, Mo.): placed 31st in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:05.90.

 

Sophomore Harrison James (Kansas City, Mo.): placed 36th in the 200 meter dash in a time of 22:75, and placed 38th in the 100 meter dash prelims in a time of 11.21.

 

Sophomore Amardeep Basra (Houston, Texas): placed 38th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.19.

 

Senior DeRel Morris (Brooklyn, N.Y.): placed 42nd in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:15.49.

 

Sophomore Evans Kiptoo (Eldoret, Kenya): placed 47th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:18.21, and placed 48th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:47.72.

 

Freshman Bristol Sheetz (Winston, Mo.): placed 49th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:23.82, and placed 52nd in the 1500 meter run in a time of 5:00.24.

 

Freshman Misael Tellez (Laredo, Texas): placed 71st in the 200 meter dash in a time of 24.52, and placed 72nd in the 100 meter dash prelims in a time of 12.17.

  

4x100 meter relay (Mills, Anderson, James, Bailey): placed 11th in a time of 43.57.

 

4x400 meter relay (Blaine, Basra, James, Morris): placed 11th with a time of 3:50.60.

 

Women's Results:

Junior Jozelynn Bostick (Centralia, Mo.): won the 3000 meter steeplechase in a time of 12:22.52, placed 13th in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:30.60, and placed 14th in the 1500 meter run in a time of 5:16.45.

 

Senior Kalie Brown (Smithville, Mo.): placed third in the hammer throw with a distance of 46.96 meters, and placed fourth in the discus with a distance of 39.92 meters.

 

Senior Federica Gammarota (Foggia, Italy): placed seventh in the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 1:08.40, and placed tenth in the 100 meter hurdles prelims in a time of 17.44.

 

Freshman Eniola Candice Alabi (Austin, Texas): placed ninth in the 400 meter dash in a time of 59.13, placed 11th in the 100 meter dash prelims in a time of 12.59.

 

Sophomore Jaedyn Smith (Tavares, Fla.): placed 18th in the discus with a distance of 30.47 meters, and placed 21st in the shot put with a distance of 8.79 meters.

 

Sophomore Brynna Wentland (Higginsville, Mo.): placed 28th in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:52.68.

  

4x400 meter relay (Bostick, Wentland, Alabi, Gammarota): placed sixth in a time of 4:23.38.

 

Up next, the Viking track and field teams will continue their outdoor seasons at the Mule Relays at Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo., April 11.
