Track & Field Teams Compete at Billiken Invitational
St. Louis, Mo., (March 28, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College track and field teams competed at the Billiken Invitational in St. Louis, Mo., Saturday. The Vikings competed against programs from multiple collegiate divisions at the event. Junior Jozelynn Bostick (Centralia, Mo.) led the team with a first place finish in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase. Both teams finished with a combined for 16 finishes in the top ten.
Men's Results:
Freshman Adrian Miles Jr. (Biloxi, Miss.) placed second in the discus with a distance of 47.37 meters, and placed eighth in the hammer throw with a distance of 40.67 meters.
Sophomore Montique Griffiths (Maypen, Jamaica): placed second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.14.
Sophomore Silas Morton (Strafford, Mo.): placed fourth in the javelin with a throw of 51.23 meters.
Sophomore Joseph James (Excelsior Springs, Mo.): placed fifth in the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 15.39, and placed 32nd in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.60.
Sophomore Steven Mills (Kansas City, Mo.): placed sixth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.06.
Freshman Hudson Drydale (Blue Springs, Mo.): placed seventh in the long jump with a distance of 6.51 meters.
Freshman Grant Supinski (Kenwood, Ohio): placed eighth in shot put with a throw of 13.46 meters, and placed 13th in the discus with a throw of 37.90 meters. Supinksi also placed 21st in the shot put with a distance of 11.08 meters.
Xavier Adams: placed eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.13 meters.
Freshman Asah Bailey (Kingston, Jamaica): placed 12th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.47 and placed 32nd in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.36.
Freshman Angel Campos (Pharr, Texas): placed 13th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:53.97.
Sophomore Evans Kiptoo (Eldoret, Kenya): placed 15th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 18:31.08.
Junior Terrill Davis (Lamar, Mo.): placed 15th in the triple jump with a distance of 12.42 meters, and placed 20th in the long jump with a distance of 5.83 meters.
Freshman Bristol Sheetz (Winston, Mo.): placed 16th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 19:46.92.
Freshman Gavin Beals (Centralia, Ill.): placed 18th in the shot put with a distance of 11.45 meters.
Freshman Jacob Wade (Jefferson City, Mo.): placed 19th in the javelin with a throw of 33.96 meters.
Freshman Daniel Menefee (Ellisville, Mo.): placed 33rd in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:22.86.
Sophomore Harrison James (Kansas City, Mo.): placed 37th in the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.42.
Junior Daytona Blaine (Shelbina, Mo.): placed 42nd in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:02.14.
Sophomore Amardeep Basra (Houston, Texas): placed 56th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:16.62.
The 4x100 Relay Team (Mills, Anderson, J. James, Bailey) placed ninth with a time of 44.13.
Women's Results:
Junior Jozelynn Bostick (Centralia, Mo.): was the 3000 meter steeplechase champion with a time of 12:19.03.
Senior Kali Brown (Smithville, Mo.): placed fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.34 meters. Brown also placed seventh in the discus with a throw of 36.95 meters.
Senior Federica Gammarota (Foggia, Italy): placed sixth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.74, and placed eighth in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 14.41.
Freshman Johanna Watkins (Wentzville, Mo.): placed seventh in the high jump with a height of 1.42 meters.
Freshman Eniola Candice Alabi (Austin, Texas): placed ninth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.74, and placed 12th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.11.
Freshman Nyla Adams (St. Louis, Mo.): placed 11th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:47.73.
Sophomore Jaedyn Smith (Taveres, Fla.): placed 14th in the discus with a throw of 29.33 meters, and placed 17th in the shot put with a distance of 8.52 meters.
Sophomore Brynna Wentland (Higginsville, Mo.): placed 32nd in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:56.16.
In the team standings, the men's team finished tenth in the standings with 32 points. The women's team placed 12th with 21 points.
Next up, the Viking track and field teams will compete at the CMU (Mo.) Invite, set for April 2-3, in Fayette, Mo.
