Track & Field Produce Multiple Top Ten Finishers at Miner Invitational

Rolla, Mo., (March 21, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College track and field teams opened their outdoor season competing at the Miner Invitational in Rolla, Mo., Friday and Saturday.  The Viking produced numerous top ten finishers, competing against NCAA Division II and NAIA programs.

 

Men's Results:

Sophomore Joseph James (Excelsior Springs, Mo.):placed third in the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 15.18.  He also placed 37th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.38, and placed no. 38 in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.63.

Sophomore Steven Mills (Kansas City, Mo.): placed fifth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.00, and placed 17th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.62. 

Freshman Mason Anderson (Warsaw, Mo.): placed seventh in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.33, and placed 36th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.29. 

Sophomore Montique Griffiths (Maypen, Jamaica): placed seventh in the 400 meter hurdle with a time of 57.19, and placed ninth in the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 15.65.

Junior Daytona Blaine (Shelbina, Mo.): placed eight in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:01.27, and placed 45th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:23.04.

Freshman Daniel Menefee (Ellisville, Mo.): placed eighth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:17.52, and placed 46th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:23.54.

Junior Terrill Davis (Lamar, Mo.): placed ninth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.54 meters, and placed 14th in the long jump with a distance of 6.34 meters.

Freshman Asah Bailey (Kingston, Jamaica): placed ninth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.64, and placed No. 21 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.73. 

Freshman Hudson Drydale (Blue Springs, Mo.): placed tenth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.90 meters, and placed 15th in the long jump with a distance of 6.32 meters.

Freshman Jacob Wade (Jefferson City, Mo.): placed tenth in the javelin with a throw of 35.95 meters, and placed 22nd in the shot put with a distance of 11.27 meters.

Freshman Grant Supinski (Kenwood, Ohio): placed 17th in the discus with a throw of 31.33 meters, and placed No. 20 in the hammer throw with a distance of 37.94 meters.  Supinksi also placed 24th in the shot put with a distance of 11.25 meters.

Freshman Adrian Miles Jr. (Biloxi, Miss.) placed 17th in the shot put with a throw of 12.52 meters and placed No. 23 in the hammer throw with a distance of 34.87 meters.

Freshman Gavin Beals (Centralia, Ill.): placed 21st in the shot put with a distance of 11.45 meters, and placed No. 25 in the hammer throw with a distance of 17.87 meters.

Sophomore Harrison James (Kansas City, Mo.): placed No. 29 in the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.24, and placed No. 33 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.24. 

Sophomore Amardeep Basra (Houston, Texas): placed 19th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.14, and placed No. 53 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.87. 

Senior DeRel Morris (Brooklyn, N.Y.): placed 25th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:17.92.

Freshman Angel Campos (Pharr, Texas): placed 16th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 19:33.63.

4x400 Relay Team (Mills, Anderson, Bailey, Griffiths) placed eighth with a time of 3.38.37.

 

Women's Results:

Freshman Johanna Watkins (Wentzville, Mo.): placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 10.78 meters, and placed tenth in the high jump with a height of 1.47 meters.  Watkins also placed 16th in the long jump with a distance of 4.75 meters.

Junior Jozelynn Bostick (Centralia, Mo.): placed third in the 5000 meter run with a time of 21:02.95, and placed 15th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:17.38.

Senior Kali Brown (Smithville, Mo.): placed third in the discus with a throw of 37.94 meters, and placed fourth in the hammer throw with a distance of 45.88 meters.

Senior Federica Gammarota (Foggia, Italy): placed eight in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.89, and placed 18th in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 17.93.

Freshman Eniola Candice Alabi (Austin, Texas): placed ninth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.08.  Alibi also placed 14th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.80, and placed 18th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.46. 

Sophomore Jaedyn Smith (Taveres, Fla.): placed 14th in the discus with a throw of 37.94 meters, and placed 16th in the shot put with a distance of 8.56 meters.

Sophomore Brynna Wentland (Higginsville, Mo.): placed 12th in the 800 meter run with a time of 3:03.63.

 

Next up, the Viking track and field teams will compete at the Billiken Invitational, set for March 28, in St. Louis, Mo.
