Tennis Teams Fall in Heart Postseason Quarterfinal Matches
Kansas City, Mo., (April 24, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's tennis teams played matches at the Plaza Tennis Center in Kansas City, Mo., in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tennis Championships Friday. Both teams fell to Texas Wesleyan to close out their seasons.
Men's Results:
Singles:
No. 1-Senior Alexander Ballinger (Northampton, England) lost to Wil Bayliss, 6-7, 3-6.
No. 2-Sophomore Guilherme Silva (Torres Novas, Spain) lost to Alejo Zurmendi, 0-6, 2-6.
No. 3-Junior Bogdan Zakharov (Kokshetau, Kazakhstan) lost to Malte Sommer, 3-6, 3-6.
No. 4-Junior Luca Stadtfeld (Cologne, Germany) did not finish with Ahmed Elkassas
No. 5-Junior David Schlageter (Meerbusch, Germany) DNP
No. 6-Sophomore Felix Ortola (Madrid, Spain) DNP
