William Penn tested Senior Goalkeeper Vicente Benitez Delgado (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain) four minutes later, but the header was saved. The Statesmen kept up the pressure, as few opportunities came over the next stretch of play. Benitez Delgado came up with two saves over the next few minutes to keep WPU scoreless. Missouri Valley had an attempt on target from Sophomore Forward Oliver Baladi (Frederikssund, Denmark) but it was saved with 9-minutes left in the game. William Penn produced one more quality opportunity with two minutes remaining, but Benitez Delgado made a save to keep the Vikings in the lead, and MVC closed out a 1-0 victory.
