Men's Lacrosse Hosts Mount Vernon Nazarene in First Home Game of the Season

Marshall, Mo., (March 10, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College men's lacrosse team hosted Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) in a non-conference contest Tuesday afternoon inside Volney C. Ashford Stadium.  The Vikings fells in their first home game of the season.

 

Freshman Goalkeeper Branden Brewer (Renton, Wash.) made 11 saves in goal, while Junior Attack George Dieck (West Friendship, Md.) came up with four ground balls and four shots.  Junior Midfielder Jayden Franklin (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) added two shots on goal and collected four ground balls.  Freshman Defender Preston Nicholson (Lee's Summit, Mo.) added three shots.  Missouri Valley fell by a final score of 24-0.

 

The loss drops Missouri Valley to 0-3 on the season while Mount Vernon Nazarene improves to 6-2.

 

Up next, the Viking men's lacrosse team travels to St. Louis, Mo., to open Heart of America Athletic Conference play against Missouri Baptist.  Game is Saturday at 7 p.m.
