Golf Teams Play at Weather Impacted William Woods Spring Invite
Fulton, Mo., (March 26, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College golf teams competed at the weather-impacted William Woods (Mo.) Spring Invite at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo. Playing only one round, the men's team finished sixth with a pair of top ten individuals.
Leading the men's "A" team was Sophomore Dominic Hoskin (Witham, England) with a score of +2 (74) in his one round of play. Freshman Valentin Bosdari (Mendoza, Argentina) followed at No. 21 with a +6 (78), while both Sophomore Nelius De Jager (Upington, South Africa) and Freshman Sebastian Liffers (Heitersheim, Germany) came in at No. 31 with rounds of +8 (80). Sophomore Jules Garrett (Lyon, France) shot a +10 (82) to place at No. 40.).
The men's "B" team was led by Freshman Julian Ayape (Bayonne, France) who came in at ninth with a +3 (75). Senior Sebasthian Contreras (Bogota, Colombia) followed at No. 21 withi a +6 (78) and Sophomore Patrick Hauschildt (Hamburg, Germany) had a +7 (79) to place at No. 27. Freshman Thomas Skevington (Farnham, United Kingdom) finished out the team scores with a +9 (81) and Freshman Benjamin Searle (Kent, England) totaled a +12 (84) to place at No. 50.
For the women's team, Freshman Kendra Warden (Paris, Canada) and Sophomore Madison Mills (Willard, Mo.) played as individuals. Warden placed at No. 22 with a +12 (84) and Mills totaled a +19 (91) to place at No. 36.
The Viking men's golf team placed sixth with a +24 (312) and the "B" team placed seventh with a +25 (213). No. 25 William Woods and No. 7 Columbia (Mo.) tied for first place overall with scores of +1 (289).
Up next, the Viking men's and women's golf teams host the Missouri Valley Spring Invite at Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall, Mo., April 15-16.
