Esports Rocket League & Marvel Rivals Finished Regular Season Throughout the Week
Marshall, Mo., (March 20, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College Esports programs competed throughout the week. The Rocket League program finished with a 3-1 record on the week, and the Marvel Rivals team also earned a victory in its competition.
Marvel Rivals defeated Southeastern Oklahoma, in a best-of-five series, 3-1. Freshman Gavin Beals (Centralia, Ill.) led with 57 eliminations, Senior Wyatt Nordean (Orange Park, Fla.) followed with 44 eliminations, and Freshman Brecken Jasper (Marshall, Mo.) had 33 eliminations. Sophomore Diogo Hansen (Bluemenau, Brazil) added 41 assists. Missouri Valley finished the regular season 7-0 and took first place in the NECC West Central Division. Next up is a series with Paradise Valley Community College in the NECC West-Central Playoffs Division VI on March 24 at 8 p.m.
In Rocket League, the team competed twice in the NECC. The varsity team defeated Arkansas State in a best-of-seven series by scores of 3-2, 3-1, 2-3, 2-0, 4-3. Freshman Diego Maroto (Madrid, Spain) led with five goals and one assist, while Freshman Charles Bedosky (Kansas City, Mo.) added 5 goals, and Freshman Chase Schlossenberg (Kansas City, Mo.) had four goals and seven assists.
Also in Rocket league, the varsity team lost to Carthage College (Wis.) in a best-of-seven series by scores of 1-2, 1-3, 6-4, 1-2, 5-3. 1-3. The team was led by Junior Lucas Evans (Newcastle, England), who had seven goals. Senior Dominic Hoskin (Witham, England) followed with four goals and five assists, and Sophomore Quentin Revillard (Lyon, France) added four goals and two assists. The Vikings finished the regular season with a 5-2 record and qualified for the NECC Midwest Division III playoffs. Next up is a series against University of Akron (Ohio) on March 25 at 8 p.m.
In Heart of America Athletic Conference Rocket League competition, the Vikings swept Graceland (Iowa) in a best-of-five series by scores of 3-2, 2-1, 11-1. Missouri Valley followed with another win against Culver-Stockton (Mo.) in a best-of-five series by scores of 5-1, 5-0, 2-1. Leading the Vikings in the two series was Revillard, who had eleven goals and eight assists. Hoskin followed with ten goals and seven assists, while Evans added seven goals and eight assists. Missouri Valley finished fourth in the standings with a 5-3 record in the Heart regular season.
The Rocket League team will play against Columbia College (Mo.) in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship, tomorrow, Saturday at 10 a.m., at Bluhawk AdvanceHealth Sports in Overland Park, Kan. Missouri Valley won both the Heart regular season and conference tournament last year.
