Esports Rocket League & Marvel Rivals Competed Throughout the Week
Marshall, Mo., (Feb. 20, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College Esports programs competed throughout the week. The Rocket League team won three contests, and the Marvel Rivals team also earned a victory in its series.
In Heart of America Athletic Conference Rocket League competition, the Vikings fell to Columbia (Mo.) in four games, by scores of 1-3, 2-1, 0-3, 2-4, then swept Baker (Kan.), in a best-of-five series by scores of 4-1, 4-2, and 5-0. Leading Missouri Valley in the two series was Senior Dominic Hoskin (Witham, England), who had ten goals and three assists. Junior Lucas Evans (Newcastle, England) followed with six goals and three assists, while Sophomore Quentin Revillard (Lyon, France) added two goals and four assists. The Vikings sit at 3-3 in the Heart standings, and next up is a Heart series against Culver-Stockton (Mo.), March 5, beginning at 6 p.m.
Also in Rocket League, the team competed twice in the NECC. The varsity team won by forfeit over Northern Illinois. The VR Rocket League defeated Southern Nazarene (Okla.) in a best-of-seven series, by scores of 1-4, 2-0, 1-2, 5-1, 3-1, 2-1. Freshman Chase Schlossenberg (Kansas City, Mo.) led with five goals and five assists, while Freshman Diego Maroto (Madrid, Spain) had five goals and three assists, with Freshman Charles Bedosky (Kansas City, Mo.) adding four goals and one assist. The team improved to 3-0 on the season. The VR Rocket League NECC team takes on Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Wednesday at 7 p.m., followed by the Varsity Rocket League NECC team that takes on Missouri S&T, Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.
Marvel Rivals competed in the NECC Division VI, defeating Texas Christian University in a best-of-five series, 3-1. Freshman Gavin Beals (Centralia, Ill.) led with 44 eliminations. The team improved to 3-0 in the season. Next up is a series with Doane (Neb.), Tuesday at 8 p.m.
All competitions take place inside the MVC Esports Arena.
