Dance Team Continues Season at Cougar Classic

Columbia, Mo., (Feb. 21, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College cheer and dance teams competed at the Cougar (Mo.) Classic, Saturday in Columbia, Mo. Both teams performed twice in their competition.

In the first dance competition, Missouri Valley placed sixth overall, with a score of 60.46. Saint Francis (Ind.) took first place with a final score of 83.88.

Competition 1-Dance:

  1. Saint Francis (Ind.)- 83.88

  2. Columbia (Mo.)- 82.71

  3. Benedictine (Kan.)-76.67

  4. Graceland (Iowa)-73.79

  5. Missouri Baptist- 69.71

  6. Missouri Valley- 60.46

In the second competition, Missouri Valley finished sixth with a score of 63.92.  Columbia (Mo.) won with a final score of 86.04.

Competition 2-Dance:

  1. Columbia (Mo.)- 82.71

  2. Saint Francis (Ind.)- 85.92
  3. Graceland (Iowa)- 79.88

  4. Benedictine (Kan.)- 79.42
  5. Missouri Baptist- 69.29

  6. Missouri Valley- 63.92

Up next, the competitive dance team will compete at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship, March 14, in Des Moines, Iowa.
