Cheer Finishes Seventh at NAIA Championship
Topeka, Kan., (March 28, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College cheer team finished competition at the 2026 NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship in Tokepa, Kan., Saturday afternoon. The team placed seventh overall in the final standings.
Missouri Valley entered the final performance round in seventh place after earning a score of 86.05 in the preliminary round, Friday. The preliminary score accounts for 25-percent of the team's overall score, with Saturday's final performance score accounting for the remaining 75-percent.
The Vikings performed Saturday, and the two combined scores gave the team an overall score of 88.44, which kept Missouri Valley in seventh place in the final standings. Xavier (La.) won the 2026 National title with a total score of 96.13, followed by Indiana Wesleyan at No. 2 with a final score of 92.72.
Senior Kloee Mills (Oak Grove, Mo.) received the Champions of Character Award for Missouri Valley. The Vikings have finished in the top ten nine times at the National championship.
