Cheer Places Ninth Overall at NAIA National Championship

Ypsilanti, Mich., (March 29, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College cheer team had its final performance at the NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship in Ypsilanti, Mich., Saturday afternoon.  The Vikings finished in the top ten in the final standings.

Missouri Valley entered the final day of competition at the NAIA National championship at No. 11 in the standings after a preliminary round score of 83.74.  The team's final performance brought in scores of 87.40, 87.60 and 88.50, and no deductions, to earn a score of 87.83.

The preliminary round performance accounts for 25-percent and the final performance accounts for 75-percent of the total score.  The Vikings finished with a total score of 86.74 to place ninth in the final standings.

Missouri Valley has finished in the top ten eight times at the National championship.
