Cheer Places Seventh in Open Small Coed Division at UCA Championships
Orlando, Fla., (Jan. 13, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College cheer team competed in the Open Small Coed Division of the UCA Championships in Orlando, Fla., Saturday. The Vikings advanced to the championship finals, and finished seventh overall.
Missouri Valley opened the event with the semifinal round, and earned a raw score of 74.9. The team suffered a 6.5 point deduction for a total score of 68.4, to place eighth in the standings.
The Vikings earned a berth into the championship round, as the top eight performances in the semifinals advanced. In the championship round, the team finished with a raw score of 76.2, but suffered a three point deduction to earn a total score of 73.2. Missouri Valley placed seventh in the standings. Wilmington (Del.) won the Open Small Coed Division with a total score of 88.9.
