Bio

Mike DeMilia is entering his first season as head coach of the Missouri Valley College baseball program, and the 33rd year of coaching baseball spent the last seven seasons as the head coach at Blair Oaks (Mo.) High School, guiding the program to two state championships in 2019 and 2024, along with a state runner-up finish in 2021.  For nearly a decade, DeMilia has been the head coach of the Jefferson City Renegades in the MINK Collegiate Summer League. His teams qualified for the playoffs every year and won the 2023 league championship.  Prior to his time at Blair Oaks, Demilia coached in the college ranks, spending two seasons at NCAA Division II Lincoln (Mo.) University as the head coach from 2014-16, ending his time there when the program was dropped following the 2016 season. 

Other coaching stops for Demilia include time as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Truman State (Mo.) University from 2012-14, helping the program to a school record for wins and set numerous records for offensive production in 2014.  In 2011 DeMilia was an assistant coach at Millard North (Neb.) High School finished third at the state baseball tournament.  From 2005-10 DeMilia was the head coach at Omaha Bryan (Neb.) High School and set a school record for wins in 2009 and qualified for the state baseball tournament in 2008 along with the American Legion State tournament.  From 2003 to 2004 DeMilia was a assistant coach at Omaha Central (Neb.) High School and set a school record for wins in 2003.  In 1999 DeMilia was an assistant coach at Millard West (Neb.) High School and finished third at the state baseball tournament and set a school record for wins.  Additionally, DeMilia was an American Legion baseball coach in Omaha, Neb., from 1994-04.

DeMilia graduated with a bachelors degree physical and health education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1999.  In 2001 he received a Masters in Health and Human Performance degree from Oklahoma State University and also served as a graduate assistant for the OSU baseball team for the two seasons.

DeMilia has been married to his wife, Mendy, for the past 18 years has three children Easton, Nolan and Claire.
