STUNT Wins Twice in Weekend Competitions

St. Louis, Mo., (March 15, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College STUNT team continued its season with competitions this weekend in St. Louis, Mo.  The Vikings picked up their first wins of the season, going 2-2 in competition.

 

The Viking STUNT team opened the weekend with an 11-6 win over Central Methodist (Mo.).  The team pulled away in the final two quarters of competition, jumps and tumbling, and team routine, outscoring CMU by an 8-5 margin.  The team followed with a 17-4 win over Quincy (Ill.).  Missouri Valley finished out with an eight-point fourth quarter of team routine, to close out the win.

 

The team was led in points in the win over Central Methodist by Sophomore Catalina Ramirez (Whitney, Texas), Freshman Azelea Shelton (Lockart, Texas), Sophomore Kaya McCoy (Wright City, Mo.), Sophomore Gabriela Lopez (McDonough, Ga.) and Sophomore Madison Race (Fayette, Mo.) who all finished with eight points apiece.  Sophomore Jaeyden Bulter (Kanakee, Ill.) and Lopez led in the Quincy win with 14 points each.

 

The Vikings followed with losses to Maryville (Mo.), 23-0, and Missouri Baptist, 20-3, in Saturday competitions.

 

Up next, Missouri Valley will compete in Springfield, Mo., April 5-6. April 5 contests are against Maryville and Missouri Baptist.  April 6 contests are against Central Methodist and Southwest Baptist (Mo.).
