Men's Golfing Pair Named NAIA All-Americans

Marshall, Mo., (May 28, 2026)- A pair of Missouri Valley College men's golfers have capped off successful seasons with recognition as a 2026 NAIA Men's Golf All-Americans after leading the Vikings to the National tournament.

Freshman Felipe Suarez (Cordoba, Argentina) has been selected as a first team All-American and Freshman Joaquin Raminger (Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a third team All-American for their play during the season.

Suarez added another honor to his season, as he was also named the Heart Men's Golfer of the Year and the Heart Men's Golf Freshman of the Year, and named to the Heart Men's Golf All-Conference Team.  Additionally, Suarez was named the 2026 NAIA Phil Mickleson Outstanding Men's Golf Freshman of the Year, handed out by the Golf Coaches' Association of America.  Suarez was also selected as the Heart Men's Golfer of the Week five times during the season, and was named the NAIA Men's Golfer of the Week twice.

In addition to his All-American recognition, Raminger was named to the Heart Men's Golf All-Conference Team, and was named both the Heart Men's Golfer of the Week and NAIA Men's Golfer of the Week once this season.

The pair led the men's golf team to a Heart of America Athletic Conference championship, and Suarez won the individual conference title.  The Vikings also posted their best finish in program-history at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, earlier this month at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., placing No. 14 in the team standings.  Suarez finished at No. 14 overall and Raminger was No. 21 on the leaderboard.

Suarez and Raminger become the third and fourth student-athletes in program-history to earn All-American recognition from the NAIA.  They join Nicolas Evanglio, second team selection in 2019, and Mateo Quiroga, third team selection in 2023.
