Men's Golf Finishes in Coaches' Poll Top Ten

Marshall, Mo., (May 1, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College men's golf team has moved into the top ten of the latest NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Poll and was officially announced as part of the 2026 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship field.

The Viking men's golf team moved up four spots from the previous coaches' poll and sits at No. 7 in the latest rankings.  This is the first time the men's golf team has been ranked in the top ten, and it is the highest National ranking in program-history.  During the latest ratings period, the team captured the MVC Spring Invitational title and the program's second Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship title.  Freshman Felipe Suarez (Cordoba, Argentina) also won the individual Heart championship to lead the team.

Joining Missouri Valley in the coaches' poll from the Heart are MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.), dropping to No. 15, and Grand View (Iowa), moving into the poll at No. 24.

In addition to the coaches' poll, the full 29-team field was announced for the 2026 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship.  Missouri Valley earned an automatic berth into the championship field as the Heart champions, and will compete as a team for the second-time in program history (2019).  Also from the Heart, MidAmerica Nazarene and Grand View will compete in the tournament as teams.  First and second round groupings and tee times will be announced May 4.

The 2026 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship runs May 12-15 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
