Esports Marvel Rivals Advances to National Championship Final

Marshall, Mo., (April 30, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College Esports Marvel Rivals team competed in the semifinal round of the NECC National Championship, and has advanced to the National championship round.

 

Playing Landmark (Vt.) in Tuesday's semifinals, the Vikings swept the best-of-five series, 3-0.  Leading the team was Junior Mike Wissman (Cole Camp, Mo.) with 28,000 healing in game one, followed by Senior Peyton Pinter (Leavenworth, Kan.) with 37 eliminations in game two.  Game three featured 22,000 damage by Senior Wyatt Nordean (Orange Park, Fla.) to help seal the sweep.

 

The team improved to 13-0 on the season and advanced to the NECC National Championship round to meet Seton Hill (Pa.) in a series.  The competition will be Tuesday evening inside the MVC Esports Arena.
