Cedar Rapids, Iowa, (April 27, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College men's volleyball team is set for play this week at the 2026 NAIA Men's Volleyball National Championship, beginning with the first pool play match Tuesday afternoon.
The Viking men's volleyball team earned an automatic berth into the National tournament after finishing as runner-up in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Postseason Championship, and was awarded the No. 4 National seed in the tournament. Missouri Valley takes a 23-5 overall record into the competition.
This is the program's second-straight appearance, and third overall (2021), in the NAIA National tournament. Missouri Valley is 2-3 all-time in the National tournament, which includes advancing to the semifinal round, and finishing third overall at last year's National championship.
The Vikings are the top seed in Pool D, and will play both No. 5 Campbellsville (Ky.) and No. 12 Indiana Tech in pool play. Campbellsville earned an automatic berth into the National tournament after capturing the River States Conference Postseason Tournament championship, and is 28-2. Indiana Tech is an at-large selection into the National tournament out of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference and is 22-9 on the season. Missouri Valley swept Indiana Tech in a match played back on Jan. 24.

The Vikings are joined by No. 1 seed Park, No. 6 seed Mount Mercy (Iowa), and No. 10 seed William Penn (Iowa). Missouri Valley also played No. 8 seed Ottawa (Ariz.) in addition to its match with Indiana Tech during the regular season, and finished with a 5-3 record against teams in the National tournament.
