Women's Wrestling Stays in Coaches' Poll Top Ten
Marshall, Mo., (Feb. 5, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College women's wrestling team continues its season ranked in the top ten of latest NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 Poll released Thursday, featuring eight ranked individuals.
The Vikings stayed at No. 10 in the coaches' for the second-straight edition. Since the previous rankings were released last month, the team picked up dual wins over No. 18 Central Methodist (Mo.) and No. 20 Baker (Kan.), fell to No. 2 Grand View (Iowa) and competed at the York (Neb.) Open.
Missouri Valley is one of six teams from the Heart of America Athletic Conference ranked in the coaches' poll. Grand View (Iowa) is No. 2, William Penn (Iowa) dropped to No. 5, Central Methodist (Mo.) moved up to No. 16, Baker (Kan.) jumped to No. 19 and Missouri Baptist entered the poll at No. 20. The Vikings host Missouri Baptist in a dual, Feb. 11, and welcome in William Penn for a dual, Feb. 17.
A total of eight Vikings are Nationally ranked in their respective weight classes. Leading the team is No. 3 Sophomore Zao Estrada (Bluffton, S.C.) at 117 pounds. The other ranked individuals include:
No. 11 Sophomore Jasmina Immaeva (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) at 124 pounds.
No. 14 Sophomore Isla Baeza (Orem, Utah) at 124 pounds.
No. 15 Freshman Gwendolyn Jewell (Orange, Calif.) at 131 pounds.
No. 5 Junior Serenity De La Garza (McAllen, Texas) at 138 pounds.
No. 11 Senior Sarina Bertram (Platte City, Mo.) at 145 pounds.
No. 15 Junior Maria Slaughter (Wentzville, Mo.) at 160 pounds.
No. 7 Senior Autumn Perez (Dodge City, Kan.) at 180 pounds.
The season continues with the Grand View (Iowa) Open in Des Moines, Iowa, Saturday.
