Women's Soccer Ends Season Ranked in Coaches' Postseason Top 10
Marshall, Mo., (Dec. 17, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College women's soccer team closes its season ranked in the top ten of the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Postseason Top 25 Poll, released Wednesday.
The Vikings come in at No. 6 in the postseason poll, after advancing to the quarterfinal round of the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship earlier this month. After receiving a first round bye, Missouri Valley defeated Spring Arbor (Mich.) in the second round, followed by a 3-0 win over Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) in the third round. The team fell to eventual National champion Keiser (Fla.), 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
Two other programs from the Heart of America Athletic Conference join Missouri Valley in the rankings. MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) finishes its season at No. 16 and Central Methodist (Mo.) comes in at No. 18. The Vikings earned a 5-1-4 record against teams ranked in the postseason coaches' poll. The wins came over No. 3 Oklahoma Wesleyan, No. 15 Lindsey Wilson, No. 16 MidAmerica Nazarene, No. 18 Central Methodist and No. 21 Spring Arbor. The ties came against No. 2 Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 16 MNU, No. 18 CMU and No. 25 Columbia (Mo.). The loss was against No. 1 Keiser.
Missouri Valley has now been Nationally ranked in 53 of the previous 55 coaches' polls, dating back to the 2020 season. The team was ranked in the top ten during each regular season edition of the coaches' poll throughout the 2025 season.
The Viking women's soccer team ended its 2025 season with an overall record of 18-1-4, including a second-straight undefeated record in the Heart, at 11-0-2. The team also won the Heart Postseason Championship for the second time in the past three years, and produced three All-Americans, including first team selections Senior Defender Marta Carrasco Mesa (Sevilla, Spain) and Senior Midfielder Judit Ferre (Barcelona, Spain) and second team selection Ashley Arribas (Lake Forest, Calif.).
