Women's Soccer Set For Home National Tournament Game
Marshall, Mo., (Nov. 21, 2025)- The No. 6 seed Missouri Valley College women's soccer team is set for its first game in the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship, playing at home Saturday afternoon.
The Viking women's soccer team is the No. 6 seed in the National tournament and earned a bye into Saturday's second round. The opponent will be Spring Arbor (Mich.), which defeated Holy Cross (Ind.), 5-0, in Thursday's first round game in Marshall, Mo.
Missouri Valley is one of only three unbeaten teams in the NAIA with an overall record of 16-0-4, and the team earned an automatic berth into the tournament field after capturing the Heart Postseason Championship title earlier this month. Spring Arbor improved to 10-4-6 on its season following Thursday's win, and earned an at-large berth into the National tournament out of the Crossroads League. The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the third round, and continue postseason play at the National site at Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex in Pensacola, Fla. The tournament continues Dec. 1-8.
The women's soccer program has qualified for six-straight National tournaments, and made seven appearances overall. The program is 4-4-3 all-time at the National tournament, which includes a National runner-up finish in 1991. Last season, the team defeated Truett-McConnell (Ga.) in the second round, 3-2, before falling to Keiser (Fla.) in the third round, 3-2 in overtime.
Saturday's game takes place at 12 p.m., inside Volney C. Ashford Stadium. Ticketing and live coverage links for the National tournament games will be available at valleywillroll.com.
