Football Puts Four on Heart All-South Division Team

Marshall, Mo., (Nov. 22, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College football team has put four of its student-athletes on the 2025 Heart of America Athletic Conference All-South Division Team, released by the conference Tuesday.

 

Leading the selections was Sophomore Running Back Silas Morton (Strafford, Mo.), who was named to the Second Team All-Division.  Morton finished with 771 rushing yards on the season. He averaged 77.1 yards per game, 4.9 yards per rush, and led the team with nine rushing touchdowns. He also had 16 receptions for 180 yards.  Morton earned All-South Division recognition for the first time in his career.  

 

Three other Vikings earned honorable mentions selections, including Junior Returner Jesse Johnson (St. Louis, Mo.), Freshman Punter Ben Bullock (Perth, Australia), and Senior Defensive Back Jeremiah McNair (Hattiesburg, Miss.), all earning All-South Division recognition for the first time.  

 

Johnson finished with 26 kick returns for 704 total return yards on a 27.1 average, along with six punt returns for 91 yards on a 15.2 average. He added a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the win against Culver-Stockton (Mo.).  Bullock averaged 36.6 yards per punt on 45 punts with a long of 66 yards and 12 punts downed inside the 20 yard line.  McNair finished the season with 51 total tackles and 4.5 tackles-for-loss, along with one interception and one blocked field goal.

 

The Missouri Valley football team finished the 2025 season, the first under Head Coach Laquentin Black, with a 3-7 overall record.
