Women's Soccer Stays in Coaches' Poll Top Five

Marshall, Mo., (Nov. 12, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College women's soccer team maintains its most recent ranking in the latest NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released Wednesday.

 

The Vikings stayed at No. 4 in the current coaches' poll, the highest position for the program in more than 30 years.  The team finished with a 4-0 record during the latest ratings period.  The wins came over Missouri Baptist, 3-0, and Baker (Kan.), 5-3, to close the regular season.  The Vikings also defeated Missouri Baptist, 5-0 in the quarterfinals, and MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.), 2-1 in the semifinals of the Heart Postseason Championship.

 

Two other programs from the Heart of America Athletic Conference join Missouri Valley in the rankings.  Central Methodist (Mo.) jumped up to No. 11 and MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) moved up to No. 21.

 

The Vikings are 2-0-3 against teams currently ranked in the coaches' poll.  The wins came against No. 5 Oklahoma Wesleyan, 1-0, and No. 21 MidAmerica Nazarene last week. The ties were against No. 9 Cumberlands (Ky.), 2-2, No. 11 Central Methodist, 2-2, and No. 21 MNU in the regular season, 0-0.  The women's soccer team has now been Nationally ranked in 52 of the previous 54 coaches' polls, dating back to the 2020 season.

 

Missouri Valley is 15-0-4 overall and will play in the Heart Postseason Championship final against No. 11 Central Methodist, tonight (Wednesday) at 7 p.m., in Fayette, Mo.  The Vikings have already clinched an automatic berth into the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship, and will learn its seeding in the tournament when the field is announced Friday evening.
