Former Olympian Named New Shotgun Sports Head Coach

Marshall, Mo., (June 6, 2025)- Missouri Valley College has announced the hiring of former Olympian and championship coach Shawn Dulohery to lead the Shotgun Sports program.

Dulohery, a Missouri native, is an Army veteran who finished fifth in the 2004 Olympics. He is an accomplished collegiate head coach, with 10 Division One ACUI national championships under his belt from his coaching time at Lindenwood University.

"I am so excited to join the team at Missouri Valley College," Dulohery said. "Our shooters had a very good year this past season, and I want to help them reach even greater heights."

Prior to his coaching career, Dulohery was stationed at the United States Army Marksmanship Unit for 21 years and was a shooter and instructor who represented the Army and the United States in national and world competition. While at AMU, he won several national and world titles and broke numerous records.

"We're so very excited to have Shawn on board," said President Joe Parisi. "He is an accomplished coach with a proven track record of success."

Dulohery grew up in Lee's Summit, Mo, and he is a member of the high school's Hall of Fame for his volunteer, coaching, and shooting accomplishments. He has a bachelor's degree from Park University.
