Men's Lifter Earns Individual Honors at Barbell Games
Springfield, Mo., (April 29, 2025)- A Missouri Valley College weightlifting student-athlete competed at the Barbell Games in Springfield, Mo., over the weekend and earned a pair of individual honors.
Freshman Jaden Lambert (Belton, Mo.) competed in the Junior 73kg weight class at the event and finished at 102kg in the snatch and at 130kg in the clean and jerk to finish with a 232kg total. Lambert's efforts helped him in the Junior 73kg weight class and also earn the Men's Junior Best Lifter award.
"Jaden put together remarkable hard work and improvements since his performance at the USA Weightlifting meet," said Powerlifting Head Coach Danny Capps. "Jaden paid his own entry fee and travel for this competition, but still represented Missouri Valley College."
Weightlifting Head Coach Jianping Ma supported and coached Lambert at the event, while Capps and Junior Sarah Khamis (Vienna, Austria) of the powerlifting program took part in the certified officiating team for the USA Powerlifting meet held at the same time in Springfield, Mo.
