No. 14 Women's Wrestling Tops Central Methodist in Home Dual
Marshall, Mo. (Feb. 13, 2024)- The No. 14 Missouri Valley College women's wrestling team hosted Central Methodist (Mo.) in its final Heart of America Athletic Conference dual of the regular season, Tuesday evening inside the Burns Athletic Complex. The Vikings battled to come back from a deficit and earned a 27-20 victory.
101 pounds: Central Methodist left the weight class open. No. 14 Sophomore Sage Beltran (Honolulu, Hawaii) won by forfeit. Missouri Valley leads, 5-0.
109 pounds: No. 11 Junior Hailey Holland (San Bernardino, Calif.) defeated Abigail Jastal in a 10-2 decision. Missouri Valley leads, 8-1.
116 pounds: Senior Laura Lincoln (Searcy, Ark.) lost to Victoria Nunez in a first period pin. Missouri Valley leads, 8-6.
123 pounds: Junior Mystyque Anderson (Kansas City, Mo.) lost to No. 15 Allison Hynes in a second period pin. Central Methodist leads, 11-8.
130 pounds: Missouri Valley left the weight class open. Central Methodist leads, 16-8.
136 pounds: No. 18 Sophomore Madeline Santana (San Bernardino, Calif.) lost to Emily Neumann in a 7-4 decision. Central Methodist leads, 19-9.
143 pounds: No. 5 Freshman Serenity De La Garza (McAllen, Texas) defeated No. 13 Lily Gough in a 12-0 technical fall. Central Methodist leads, 19-13.
155 pounds: No. 11 Senior Brooke-Lynn Rush (St. Joseph, Mo.) defeated Berlin Kiddo in a 13-2 technical fall. Central Methodist leads, 20-17.
170 pounds: Junior Elise Falcetti (St. Louis, Mo.) defeated Tambria Wilson in a first period (0:57) pin. Missouri Valley leads, 22-20.
191 pounds: Freshman Tylah Allen (Jonesboro, Ark.) defeated Shainne Whited in a first period (0:47) pin.
