Men's Wrestling Competes at St. Mary's Duals

Leavenworth, Kan., (Nov. 23, 2024)- The No. 15 Missouri Valley College men's wrestling team traveled to Leavenworth, Kan., Saturday, to compete at St. Mary's Duals. The Vikings defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan, 46-0.

 

Vs. Oklahoma Wesleyan:

125lbs: Sophomore Ryker Smith (Kansas City, Mo.) defeated Bradan O`Brien in a first period (1:29) pin. Missouri Valley leads, 6-0.

133lbs: Junior Devin Martinez (El Monte, Calif.) defeated No. 20 Kolby Encinas in a 16-1 technical fall. Missouri Valley leads, 11-0.

141lbs: No. 15 Senior Donavan Parn (Brookfield, Mo.) defeated Zeke Wheeler in a first period (0:32) pin. Missouri Valley leads, 17-0.

149lbs: Freshman Bishop Rush (St. Joseph, Mo.) defeated Cale Glover in a first period (2:50) pin. Missouri Valley leads, 23-0.

157lbs: Oklahoma Wesleyan left the weight class open. Junior Olson Anderson (Orting, Wash.) won by forfeit. Missouri Valley leads, 29-0.

165lbs: Junior Brenden Parks (Elburn, Ill.) defeated Noah Smith in a 10-6 decision. Missouri Valley leads, 32-0.

174lbs: Senior Jesus Gutierrez (Victorville, Calif.) defeated Anderson Tate in a first period (0:39) pin. Missouri Valley leads, 38-0.

197lbs: Junior Emmanuel Ayi-Bonte (Woodbridge, Va.) defeated Hunter Hall in a 17-11 decision. Missouri Valley leads, 41-0.

285lbs: No. 12 Sophomore Jayden Joseph (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) defeated Nate Easky in a third period (6:38) pin.

Missouri Valley defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan, 46-0.

 

Up next, the Viking men's wrestling team will travel to Warrensburg, Mo. to compete at the Central Missouri Open tomorrow, Sunday, starting at 9 a.m.
