Men's Lacrosse Drops Road Game at Mount Vernon Nazarene
Mount Vernon, Ohio, (March 30, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men's lacrosse team went to Mount Vernon, Ohio for a Heart of America Athletic Conference game against Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio), Saturday afternoon. The Vikings fell to the Cougars in the contest.
Missouri Valley was led by Freshman Jayden Franklin (Naples, Fla.), who scored on goal, while Junior Aleix Costa (Barcelona, Spain) came up with three ground balls and one caused turnover. Junior Goalkeeper Jake Lipscomb (Boiling Springs, S.C.) made 17 saves in goals. The Vikings fell by a final score of 24-1.
The loss drops Missouri Valley to 0-5 on the season, and 0-3 in the Heart. Mount Vernon Nazarene improves to 7-4 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
Up next, the Viking men's lacrosse team hosts Benedictine (Kan.) in a Heart game, Saturday, April 6, at 4 p.m., inside Volney C. Ashford Stadium.
