Men's Golf Competes at Verhille Invitational at Old Kinderhook
Camdenton, Mo., (March 18, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College men's golf team continued its spring season with play at the Verhille Invitational at Old Kinderhook in Camdenton, Mo., Monday and Tuesday. Play in the tournament was sponsored by the generous gift of MVC alumni Randy Thomas '77.
Leading the team was Freshman Mateo Cadario (Santa Cruz, Bolivia), who finished with a two-round score of +13 (155) to place at No. 25, playing as an individual.
Team scorers included Junior Chad Coburn (Bloemfontein, South Africa) at No. 32 with a final score of +14 (156), Freshman Brad Storrer (Harare, Zimbabwe) totaled a +15 (157) to place at No. 39, Sophomore Sebastian Liffers (Heitersheim, Germany) finished at No. 64 with a +22 (164) and Junior Nico Booyens (Centurion, South Africa) at No. 67 with a +23 (165). Junior Nelius De Jager (Upington, South Africa) came in at No. 92 with a final score of +31 (173).
Missouri Valley placed at No. 12 in the team standings with a final score of +74 (642). William Woods (Mo.) won the tournament with a +27 (595).
Up next, both men's and women's golf teams will compete at the Central Methodist (Mo.) Spring Invite, March 24-25, at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Mo.
